Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
Client's Goal:
To offer extraordinary and diverse performance experiences that enrich communities regionally, nationally and throughout the world. To accomplish this, they wanted two performance halls acoustically isolated under one roof and the ability to facilitate simultaneous performances.
Project Details:
The 285,000 square-foot space needed more than 130 speakers in each hall with multiple DSP configurations for specialized uses in each hall as well as over 500 paging speakers throughout the building zoned to address specific parts of the individual performance spaces and “swing space” areas that can be assigned to either.
We achieved our client's goals through relentless, extensive, and ongoing problem solving to meet the engineering and architectural requirements of truly unique performance environments.
