Restoring a Historic Landmark

During the renovations, the biggest challenge was that space was at a premium in the 300-seat theatre with a small stage. Clair Brothers was called upon to design and build several custom solutions to maximize every inch of the historic landmark.

“We provided design/build and consultation services, bringing our production experience to the client to make the venue work for visiting artists. And as always, we looked for the right solutions, not just the expedient ones,” said Dan Heins, Project Manager, Clair Brothers.

The new Franklin Theatre now continues the tradition of showing movies, but the renovation project has made it possible to add a new dimension to Main Street – live music. With a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, and undeniable charm, the Franklin Theatre is destined to be an entertainment and cultural icon for years to come.
